Once you've joined main@lwhc.groups.io, you may join any of the subgroups listed below that are of interest to you:
General Discussion: discuss@lwhc.groups.io
General discussion for the Lake Washington Ham Club Community.
Homebrew: homebrew@lwhc.groups.io
In ham radio, "homebrew" refers to the practice of building your own radio equipment from scratch or from kits. This can include anything from simple antennas to complex transceivers. Homebrew@lwhc.groups.io is a subgroup supporting the DIY (do-it-yourself) spirit of LWHC hams who enjoy designing, constructing, and experimenting with their own gear. Here you'll find homebrew project discussions, listings for parts and equipment (for free, for swap, for sale, etc.), and anything else related to homebrewing.
DX - Spots and Discussion: dxspots@lwhc.groups.io
A place to share sightings of distant or rare stations.
POTA - SOTA: POTA-SOTA@lwhc.groups.io
A subgroup dedicated to everything related to POTA (Parks on the Air), SOTA (Summits on the Air) and all other programs that finish with "On the Air" (ie. IOTA (Islands on the Air), BOTA (Bunkers on the Air), etc.). Here, community members can spot themselves or others, make plans for group activations, ask for advice and offer encouragement for future activations.
A subgroup for discussions around youth initiatives and opportunities for youths in ham radio.
Repeaters: rptrs@lwhc.groups.io
A place for repeater aficionados.
We look forward to seeing you online!
