11am Daily: Health and Wellness Net

Our daily Lake Washington Ham Club K7LWH Health and Wellness net meets at 11AM to provide a daily “check-in” for our members and any licensed amateur operator. The net is operated through our linked Rose Hill repeater system.

The Health & Wellness Net is known and appreciated by our community for its friendly and welcoming atmosphere, as well as for its optional "question of the day" format, which allows everyone to focus on a given subject and get to know each other better in the process.

This is a directed net. All calls will come thru a net control operator. We are lucky to have many dedicated and welcoming volunteer net control operators. Currently, you will regularly hear: KK7BRS Doug (Mondays and Wednesdays), W7JSM John (Tuesdays and Thursdays), N7RLV Rob (Fridays), KI7LTY Amy (Saturdays), and KK7BRR Jennifer (Sundays). We also are fortunate to have volunteer back-up net control operators, who fill in where possible: many thanks to KI7NRI David, KB2S Brian, and N7ANH Anh.

💡
If you are interested in becoming a net control operator (for a regular spot, or to be a back-up host... or maybe just to give it a try once!), we are always looking for more volunteers. Contact John W7JSM at W7JSM@outlook.com for more information.

Please use commonly accepted amateur radio practices and respect for all. This net is open to all stations holding a valid Amateur Radio License. We love to hear from folks, and you will find lots of friends and mentors (sometimes called "Elmers") on this net. If this is your first contact on the radio, please share that with us.

When checking into the net, please say your call sign slowly and phonetically. This will save a lot of time on the net. When you are done with your report, please sign off using your call sign – to both comply with FCC regulations and to tell net control that you are done with your check-in.

If you just want to say “Hi” and have no traffic you can tell net control that you'll be an “IO” or "in and out." That is fine. Otherwise, we want to encourage you to spend a little time telling us what's on your mind or what you've been up to lately.
