Kids net mission statement
The goal of Kids Net is to provide school age kids with a regular time and place to check in and find other kids who share their common interest in communicating with their ham radios. Second, it is hoped that by using their radios regularly at least once a week the kids will keep their radio batteries charged and improve radio communication skills. To meet these goals, we hold a controlled Net on a local amateur radio repeater in Kirkland, Washington each Sunday night at 8:15 PM.
Visitors are welcomed to participate and respond when requested. We communicate on local 2-meter repeater at 145.490 Mhz. minus offset 103.5 tone
Visitors from other areas may check in on IRLP Reflector node #9255
Events will be posted here : KIDS NET WINNER posted at bottom
Now that school is in operation, KID’S NET is back in session. Youngsters need to check in at 8:15 PM on Sunday evening and adults can check in as visitors.
KID’S NET is a great activity to help children learn to participate in civic activities.
